In recent
years we have become increasingly aware that music can heal.
Music can help us to tap into our inner potential effecting
body, mind and spirit.
We know that
music does many things; it can soothe and relax, transport
us to the other realms of consciousness and serve as an
aid to meditation. It can also help us to keep in touch
with our feelings, enhance our sensitivity and enable us
to reach our true inner being. I would like to give some
references from traditional Indian texts here.
In Bharat's divine Natya
Shastra he has devised nava rasa siddhant
(nine feelings of human beings' or nine types of emotions).
He quoted that all the nine rasa convert ultimately
into anand (happy) rasa i.e. happiness.
In the Sangeeta Ratnakara,
written in the 12th century, from chapter 2, the author
Sharangdeva, has discussed swadu pindotpatti
to mean genes and genetics and music relationships
with each other.
Conclusion and demonstration.
